Chess is very easy to improve

I don't find it that easy to be honest

700 to 2150 in a few months??????? For whoever this person is, the world championship title is waiting.

Automatically identifying such amazing accounts (maybe chess.com would want to invite them to top online tournaments!) would be easy in principle... but for a site that can hardly get basic functions like spell check and an even number of black and white working, I can see why they haven't tackled anything like this yet.

But maybe in the future they'll be able to quickly identify such amazing players instead of allowing them to play in obscurity, and probably over 1000 games in this guy's case.

My word sir! Where are your propriety and decorum in this delicate matter? You're actually technically okay with your enuendo because you say "you think" and "probably." You're using the subjunctive mood not the indicative which puts it in the realm of speculation and conjecture. This is allowable in the free world. Just don't try it around Kim Jong-un.

Five second moves!? 1,450 ELO increase in 74 days!? My word sir! You are training hard! You must have a whole staff supporting your efforts. Maybe you have a good chess coach and a second as well as someone to run to Starbucks for you because you can't get away from the board. Or maybe it's just the the training resources they have available here at Chess.com. It's a pretty impressive improvement you've made in just 74 days. Keep up the hard work.

I always was curious why chess.com doing NOTHING with these "very strong players"? Thare tons of them on this site and it's not hard to identify them. They ain't even hiding!

For example:

https://www.chess.com/member/stoic_pawn

This very promising player rated 2300++ rapid. Also he solving puzzles on chess.com every day. But, surprise-surprise! He's 1600 at puzzles!!! Everyone knows that 1600 at puzzles on chess.com is below beginner level. If you look at his games his time managment is very "standart" for such players. 4-5-6-7 seconds per move even in the very opening stage.

I reported him a few weeks ago and, guess what after that? You're right! NOTHING! He's still playing on the site.

Exactly, pretty annoying.

If you harass chess.com for a few months they'll eventually ban that account, but you'll eventually have to message mods / staff to make it happen.

Of course first you should wait a week or two after reporting... don't expect an account to be instantly closed.

But yeah, accounts like this that stay open are frustrating.

Hi

DreamscapeHorizons

If a player sets their rating low when they join (like 400) but they're really class A or expert it would jump quit fast but the early games will show their rating very low.

But anyway,  here's a new meme.

This entire subject makes me depressed.  Even a beloved game is stained by unethical people.  A game.

My faith in my fellow man approaches zero. 🙁
