Chess Lessons for Beginners

I am an experienced chess coach looking for 2-3 more students to teach online through Skype.

We will practice all phases of the game (Opening, Middle Game, Endgame) through a variety of puzzles and analysis of the students own games. I try to emphasize the importance of creativity over memorization. I believe anyone can become a strong chess player if they are given the correct cognitive tools!

I offer my first half hour lesson free so we can get to know each other. This will also give you a chance to decide if my lessons will work for you.

I currently coach one 8 year old student who is improving rapidly from my lessons. They are now the best player on their school's chess team!
