game drawn by stalemate question

Hi there, I have had a few games drawn by stalemate recently where I have been up on pieces and moving towards a checkmate. I was wondering if someone could direct me to an explanation of the conditions for stalemates in these games. I have an example screenshotted but am unsure how to share this. Thank you in advance for helping the secret teacher to feel less robbed...

It's pretty simple. If your opponent's king is not in check and he has no legal moves, it's stalemate.

In this position, it was your move.

You could have checkmated him with Rh5+.

Instead, you took his pawn. His king had no legal moves. His only remaining pawn couldn't move either.

Stalemate.
