Good at tactics puzzles but bad at chess

I have tactics rating of 1970 with 65% success but my blitz rating is just 1100 after playing for about a year. It seems that improving my tactics isn't changing my performance in the game. Any suggestions for a player like me?

1970 is great. The tactics and realistic are really have their own characteristics. Tactics are like college lesson and real game is like practical experience. All high ranking students are glittering in realistic.

How much u pay attention in Game with each player that much probability of winning ratio will be. Each player u should apply different strategy.

Dani, for starters, your blitz rating isn't something to hang your head over.  This is a site where most members are fairly serious chess players, and your blitz rating is actually high compared to more than 3 out of every 5 players on here (almost 2 out of every 3).  That doesn't sound bad to me.

Your puzzle rating is out of this world!  What that is showing is this: when you are given a board position where there is a definite best move, either to mate, win material, or defend properly, you are excellent at finding that best move.  And I'm sure that you have committed certain tactical plays to memory, as some of them show up in the puzzles constantly (like removing the defender, making a check then taking the queen with the next move, etc.).

Playing a live game involves so many more intricacies that don't show up in puzzles.  Center control, piece development, and safeguarding the king are things that are vital to playing chess, but I haven't seen them in puzzles at all.  In fact, I've never done a puzzle on here where castling is the correct move.

We've played.  I know your strong points.  You definitely know how to attack and seize an opportunity.  But how do you get there if your opponent doesn't hand it to you with a blunder?  Building your game in the first 10-15 moves is important, and perhaps that is where you should focus.

Chess have 3 parts. Good opening, mid of the game and end game strategy are very important.

i hear you ,  with puzzles you know there is a solution but in a real game there may not be , so if you look around for one too long it hurts time,  i like following grand master games but still i do not know what they were thinking as plan b etc , i saw eric hansen , from chessbrah on youtube explains his moves during online blitz hes very good and says if he goes there i go here etc , i like to see the process, only i wish to think as fast ! good luck i hope to play you more , ive been playing bullet games lately but im terrible at it
