You can choose your gambit play and than practice it

Focus on simple, solid openings that help you develop pieces quickly, control the center, and get your king safe by castling. Avoid memorizing long lines at the start — understanding why you play certain moves matters much more than remembering moves. Play the same openings repeatedly so you learn from experience and improve naturally. A bit of guided learning can make this process much easier; this beginner-friendly resource explains openings clearly and practically:

An even better advice would be to not focus on openings at all. The opening poster has much more serious and pressing issues than learning openings.

Example game (30 minute rapid):

Those are good openings. You can also try the Ponziani for white which is really fun to play.

My go to is the Italian Game for beginners because it helps set up the opening of the game and getting pieces out.-I play pawn to e4, then if they play pawn to e5, I bring out my knight to f3, and then my bishop to c4." I’m trying to control the center and get my pieces out quickly.

Another opening that's for beginners is the English opening -English Opening starts with c4 — moving the pawn in front of your queen’s bishop two spaces forward. This opening is a bit different because instead of pushing the center pawns right away (like e4 or d4), it controls the center from the side. It lets you build a strong position quietly and can lead to lots of different strategies. It’s great if you like flexible, strategic play rather than fast attacks. Then you can develop your knights or Fianchetto your bishop.

Hope this helped with alternative openings instead of queens/kings gambit. : )

Hello.

I made a defensive system that consists of 9 moves that can be also be used to attack.

e3 Bd3 Qf3 Ne2 b3 Bb2 Nc3 O-O-O Rhe1

Maybe try it if you want and let me know how it does, I haven’t used it yet. I also don’t have a name yet.

Making a new opening is easy.
Making no a new opening that’s good is hard.

That opening has you dead on move 3. Even if black doesn't take the center for themselves (and why wouldn't they if you are just handing it to them?) and plays 2. Nf6 instead, playing Qf3 will still result in use getting forked with e4.

In general, the opening you have come up with breaks too many chess principles. You aren't fighting for control of the center. Bd3 makes it more difficult to develop efficiently. Qf3 brings your queen out too early and puts it on a square your knight would like to develop to. Sure if your opponent does nothing for 10 moves and allows you to passively develop, you will eventually be okay. But if your opponent is practicing good chess principles, you are toast.
