How Can I Improve My Elo
1. Win 1-3 games in a row per session and stop. Focus on whichever you like (I like 20 min games) if I want to play after I’ll switch to something I don’t care about.
2. Alternatively you can keep tally of if you win to loss ratio. I didn’t keep it that heavy but very session I HAD to come out +3 wins. If I had two wins and lost the next won, I’d have to win 2 more to end…you can see how this goes.
3. Stick to your method. I think lower ELO you can learn basic openings and counters and stick to the principles. If you have preferred opens then take advantage of your knowledge.m
Worth mentioning that this was after college when I had lots of time and no job. I’d play 2000+ games per season
Learn basic principles of openings, endings, and middle game planning. Study the classics.
dont play blitz or rapid. You can’t learn from playing other beginners at those time controls.
review your losses. Figure out why you lost and them work to avoid repeating that error.
find a live club where a stronger player is willing to go over your games with them.
