How have you made friends playing chess?

I turned into a homebody this year, I thought it would be neat to make some chess friends. Where did you meet your chess buddies? Random matches, local clubs? Spill the tea

It's probably 50/50 between people I've met here on the forums and those I've met through streaming on Twitch.

One of the most memorable moments was playing Pai Gao poker with GM Enrico Sevillano at a tournament in Reno, Nevada till the sun came up. We all lost our games the next round while Enrico won. Thats why he has a GM in front of his name and we dont.
