How to improve my chess game?

I've been doing puzzles and have gotten to 780-810 ranking on them. I have also played against and beaten all of the high elo beginner bots and low elo intermediate bots but I am still stuck at 500-600 elo when it comes to games. Any advice to help me strengthen my game against real players?

This is how I got better.

Hello. First i would suggest setting the tactics range on the lowest posisible so you can work on basics. Try to see all possible answers from your opponent, so you ´´see´´ the variation through and dont guess. In games you should slow down and think about what your opponent can play in response to your move. Before every move try to check if there are pieces which could be captured (yours and opponents), since most of your games will be decided by you or your opponent giving up pieces (check for unnprotected pieces first, then pieces that are attacked more then 1 time). In opening you should focus more on geting out your light pieces, and then possibly castling to get your king into safety. Pawn moves should be made in order to allow your pieces to get out (that will be priority for you now) and to get more space in midlle of the board (center control). Ideally you shouldnt move the same piece twice in row, until there is imminent capture possible. For endgames it should be enough to learn two rooks vs king (ladder), king and queen vs king, and king +rook vs king checkmates. Good luck and have fun!

10 minute games are fun but longer games will help you improve. The longer the better but G30 is a good start. It will give you more time to plan, calculate a few options, even if only guessing what you think your opponents best reply is, and check for blunders. Over time, these skills will become a more natural part of your play and then your 10 minute games will improve. Longer games will help you practice good thinking habits.
