Just enjoy playing.
I appreciate your reading my post and responding, but I just can't enjoy playing when I am putting in the amount of effort. I feel like this is something that people who are good at chess say to those who are not.

youre not putting in enough effort, and most likely (i havent looked at your pfp) havent played enough games. If you really want to improve youll improve if you dont you wont, its a fine line
yeah you havent played enough games not even enough to get to 900 probably depending on your situation i have 15000 games played
you havent done enough puzzles, and you probably ply 10 minute which is even worse. Though id recommend changing to 15|10 when you get to 1000, only because thats what i did.
i.e. your complaining for no frickn reason like so many people on here you dont want to get better you think you do, but you complain before you even get any results this post is essentially spam
sub 1200 just use analysis you dont need books, maybe post 1200 but probably upper intermediate like 1500-1600, also this is a spam post because the op is complaining for no reason hes been playing since 2018 but has less than a 1000 games played
I have been playing since 2018 and I just can’t gain any increase in ELO. I watch at least one video a day, have two chess books I am working through, do 15-20 minutes of puzzles on Lichess a day, try to analyze my games. But, I get further and further from my goals. I actually am starting to feel like when I loose, the other player must think I am stupid. I don't think the puzzles and books I am reading and doing generalize to games. I have tried every time constraint and the results are the same.
And, I get frustrated when I see people who have been playing a lot shorter time than me are actually improving. People always say that we all get better at our own pace, but I’m not getting better. I feel like I’m not smart enough for chess. Honestly, I don’t know what else to do. I am now at the point where I actually get angry that I am not doing better.
