I play like a monkey

All I do is either "monkey attack" or "monkey defend". I have no plans when the middle game begins. No endgame knowledge, and I have no d4 openings on my repertoire. Only thing going on for me is my puzzle rating, which doesn't mean much.

I switched from rapid to daily games for a while, so time won't be an issue. What would be the advice you guys could give me?

I only go E4 basically. Which if anything other than E5, I am in uncharted territory again. I am missing out on half of the game.

I guess you are right about the endgame knowledge part. I should have said that I never studied it instead.

I am a monkey

Read this: GM Larry Evans' method of static analysis - Chess Forums - Chess.com

It will explain how to come up with a half-decent plan that suits the position in front of you.

Sounds like this is the panacea I needed so badly. I am gonna look this up right away, thank you.

Your are still doing fine I think. Looking at your overall stats, it seems you have a high enough winrate for both white and black to suggest you are still going up in rating.  Based on the accuracy of your most recent daily games I'm even more certain that you have not reached your actual rating, so I'm definitely expecting it go up further. What's holding you back is that you play a lot of lower rated players. In your last daily games you went + 4 + 6  -9 +7 +3. That's + 11 in 5 games. I'm estimating you should be somewhere around 1600 (+/- 100) , so that would take you roughly 100 more games. Take these number with a grain of salt.

When I faced the same issue that you mention of failing to make I plan I also switched to playing Daily games. I believe the biggest benefit is that the format allows you to make note on specific variations during the game. That way you have your thought process available when you later check the game with an engine. On my blog I wrote an article about my experience and some of my ideas about the format. Perhaps it's useful for you.

One last remark. You are playing over 30 games at the same time. That's quite a lot. Many decision will be fairly straightforward and only a few positions will be harder to solve. Managing that is easy most of the time. But keep in mind you may not have plenty of time every day. You will at some point have days where real life gets in the way. On those days when you have little time and can only play chess for a couple of minutes, in between activities with a little less focus. Then it will be a challenge to make over 30 good decisions in a row.  And as you go up in rating the decisions will get harder as well. Be aware of that.

Hi
ChessMasteryOfficial

You should learn most important principles of a chess game. That will give you a solid understanding of a chess game and you will know what to do in every position. Then, you should optimize your calculation so you don't miss tactics in your games. I can help you with all of this. Message me if you are interested.

The OP should be aware that there is a substantial difference between playing like a Rhesus Macaque, playing like a Baboon, and playing like a Chimpanzee.

Baboons, for example, tend to waggle their bottoms in their opponents faces. This can be an effective tactic in face-to-face play (let alone rump-to-face play), although I believe that FIDE frowns on the practice for hygenic reasons.
