I have Fritz12 and I do it by clicking the Application Menu (round circle, top left) -> Open Database. This opens an new windows showing the last database or default. Click the newly opened sceeen Application Menu -> Open This file open dialog defaults to only showing database files. You need to change this by clicking the dropdown arrow to the right of the filename box and select PGN files. Browse to your pgn fiel and load it. t will then list the games in the PGN and you can select whichever one you want to load.
