Maybe yes, sometimes I doubt myself too. But if you can beat someone with a lower elo than you, even though you might made some mistakes in that game, then why not?

Elo tracks results, not strength of play, strength of play requires analysis. If you just feel like you are having problems due to the positions on the board or results try and find out the ideas in the positions so you know what to look for. Also, don't worry about the player pool as it is random pleanty of overrated and underrated players as well inconsistent ones. I know I am as variable as it gets with quality focus during games. I suspect consistency is the biggest improver of results.

I mean to say, don't doubt yourself, just work towards consistentcy in focus during games. Everyone misses things in the end.
