Not going anywhere

I’m stuck at around 530. I play all the time, try solving puzzles, do the lessons and try hard on every game. But i seem to get stomped on all the time. I don’t know what to do anymore. I love this game but it’s making me feel horrible about myself.

It's because you're playing a bunch of cheaters. People rely on engines for critical moves. Because they don't use an engine for the entire game, it's impossible for chess.com to detect.

Play in an IRL beginner's tournament, you'll probably kill it.

What this isn’t true at all, don’t listen OP. Don’t fall into that trap of blaming engines for losses so you can convince yourself that the loss you just suffered wasn’t your fault.

If you’re playing chess and want to improve, you probably won’t get very far alone. Luckily, there are tons of good YouTube videos you can watch and books you can borrow from your local library. As mentioned, John Bartholomew is good, and for fundamentals, GothamChess is pretty handy as well. We’ve all had trouble at one time or another, try not to give up!

Not true at all. Cheaters are extremely rare even at my level, and I'm 2000 on this site.

The way you improve is to take responsibility for your losses. You and your opponent both made mistakes, but you made more mistakes (or worse mistakes) than your opponent, and they came out on top.

You'll never play perfect chess, but try to fix some of your biggest leaks. One thing that both you and OP have in common is that you're allowing enemy knights to fork you too often. So be aware of how knights move and don't let them fork your king, queen and rooks!

"I’m stuck at around 530."
++ A rating of 530 is a sign of frequent blunders. Always check your intended move is no blunder before you play it. Hang no pieces, hang no pawns and you are 1500 overnight.
