@DarthFarter Sven was giving me a eide of my money but I have known where to. eat him.. though he is steady from the beginning he loses it in the middle pjase of the game if you get to support yoir pieces effectively

Went back to the 1500 bots again.  Got to 5-0 and was well ahead in the 6th game and blew it!!    It is hard to win 6 in a row for me.  While I can beat the 1600 level bots, I haven't got to 6-0 yet.   In fact, if I "tilt", I can lose a few in a row.   My board vision and recognition of threats is still not that good.

Rough day so far!  It took 11 games to beat the 1500 bots (Antonio, Wendy and Pierre) 6 times.  Went 6-4-1.   Somedays you just blunder more than others.   That draw I was ahead but got caught in a three-fold repetition.    I can try and try to get 3-fold repetition when I am behind, but I never succeed!   The bots get it all the time if you are not careful in a winning position.

The bots learned my style of play. Also, sometimes I'll be making a premove, and I see the bot's piece moving at the same time.

Yeah, I suppose that the bot engine could run a quick, low-depth analysis of your games to tailor its strategy against you. I mean, given chess.com's concurrent users, that seems like a whoppin' big chunk of processor time, but I suppose it could be done. I guess I just never considered that it would do that -- but then again, your rapid rating is 1200+, so it would make more sense that bots would work harder to beat you than they would to beat someone like me (much lower rating, defeats himself regularly with his own play, etc.).

I just played against the bot Jimmy and I won it, but this game does not appear on my list. Any suggestion, please?

technical_knockout

suggest you stop playing bots.  🙂

Cobra2721

Why?

technical_knockout

bots make bad intentional blunders:

playing other people is way better for your chess.

No

technical_knockout

lessons & puzzles = better training.

Jai4chess:  But you can still learn something from Isabel -- how did she get to a R+K vs K endgame?   What mistakes did you make?  If I got to that position, I would resign, analyze and try again.

Interesting. When I look at your profile, I can see your bot games:

But I don't see a game with Jimmy-BOT that corresponds to the date of your post. I'd recommend filing a bug report using the question mark button in the lower left-hand corner (Report A Bug). Good luck!

I think he doesn't save to archive

HandsomeDesert

didn't

I just played the Andrea bot (1800) and I played horribly (7 mistakes, 4 blunders and 1 missed win for a 77.3 accuracy), but I guess she played worse since I won.   Also played and won against Voyboy (1600), Hafu (1500) and Sardoche (1550).

Thanks a lot for your replies.  It was the first game I played with Jimmy-BOT and now I understand that maybe I didn't save to archive, I was so happy to have winned it....

Is there something I can do? Reporting a bug is a correct thing to do?

Nimzowitsch

how can I beat Wally?

kemmrich

I searched on youTube and found a bunch of videos that might be of help:  Wally chess - YouTube  .   All in all (for me), Wally is pretty hard to beat.
