Scholar's mate is a four-move checkmate in chess that occurs when the white player moves their bishop and queen to checkmate the black king in just four moves. The moves are:

1.e4 e5 2.Qh5 Nc6 3.Bc4 Nf6?? 4.Qxf7#

In this position, the white queen is attacking the black f7 square, while the bishop is attacking the g7 square. If the black player captures the pawn on e4, white can then play Qh5 and threaten to fork the king and rook with Qxf7+.

Scholar's mate is commonly used in beginner games as a way of surprising and quickly defeating an inexperienced player who may not be familiar with it. However, it is not a strong opening strategy for more experienced players, as it is easily countered by defending against the early attacks on f7 and g7. Even though you see this a lot as a beginner, you should never see it again.

Scholars mate is useful in bullet at slightly higher levels since some people still fall for it and even your opponent doesn’t fall for it, it can gain you time since your opponent has to think of a counter.

This is because your elo is a bit high, scholars tend to not work after 600 elo.

You should know it, and know how to defend against it, but I advise against using it. Your opponent is better developed if they defended properly.

Scholars mate suits low rated players but already, i played 2 games of scholars mate and won at the very low rated opponents. Take your risk, if someone knows what you thinking, your queen get harassed by their pieces, the disadvantage is you behind in development and certainly fail the center.
