Struggling To Find an Oppening

As a 700 rated player, the opening doesn't much matter, because the game will be decided on tactics. Learn the basic opening principles, but spend most of your time on tactics. And stop playing 5-minute games. You should be playing 15 or 20 minute games at the very fastest. The reason for that is that you need time to think about your moves. Just my 2 cents...

I recommend placing more emphasis on "chess opening principles"

when starting out, but if you want to know what opening to try, perhaps try out this chess.com flowchart based on your playstyle. It isn't perfect because this flowchart doesn't include every opening, but it is still pretty decent overall:

Openings at your level never decide games. In fact you could play 1.h4 and still be ok.

Choose to play rather d4 or e4 and then from there on it's actually up to black to "decide" what you will play. This means you should adapt your openings to the way black responds to your first move. With time, you will learn different responses. How to play against sicilian, Scandinavian, four knights and so on.

Forget about the openings. Learn how to think during the game. Great book for that is 'Logical Chess'. You have it on youtube as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0eTB7oHeRgM&list=PLUrgfsyInqNa1S4i8DsGJwzx1Uhn2AqlT
