Suggestion for a book (ITA)

I don't know what book your fiance gave you, and I don't speak Italian. But, given what you say you need, may I suggest "Chess: 5,334 Problems, Combinations, and Games" by Laszlo Polgar? It is in figurine notation, so it can be read by anyone, in any country, speaking any language. Yes, the edition I have has some English in it, and I am not sure that the book you get will have Italian, but 99% of it is language-neutral.
It has thousands of Mate in 1, Mate in 2, and Mate in 3 problems, and over 600 short games that highlight various themes. For my money, it is the single greatest resource ever printed in one volume. Let me know what you think.
By the way, given the command of English that you display in your question, your English is MORE than good enough to read the little of it that is in this book.

I'd agree with the comment above regarding your English level... The great thing about chess is that you only really need a command of a very limited and specific set of words in English plus the occasional French or German term and things named after people. Try Bobby Fischer teaches chess as well, you might skip past a lot of pages as the intro is very basic but it's very visual and not too many words to read anyway!

Good Chess Books for Beginners and Beyond...

I would imagine many of them are translated into Italian.

The basic lessons available on this very site (https://www.chess.com/lessons) are excellent. They are easy to understand and treat all the topics that a beginner needs to understand to play a meaningful game of chess. Plus every lesson has a number of tests with very well worked out guidance that let you try out what you just learned in the lesson and give you immediate feedback.
