whatever works for you dude, what kind of places do you enjoy?

That's the problem tongue.png

Nowhere online that I know of... not that I've been looking.

Hawaiian_King
what do you enjoy talking about

usually surrounding yourself with kids can cheer someone up, just be sociable at the “daycare” instead of trying to run it and it’ll be less stressful

I don't have any kids and I seldom get to mingle with any. My whole life revolves around adults.  I find talking with kids, even when I don't know half of what they're discussing,  a bit refreshing and rejuvenating.

try the goofing off thread, you don’t have to be serious about anything, and if you do wanna have a serious discussion everyone there is nice enough to have a serious conversation (except maybe Ry or Mint)
Hawaiian_King
a life revolving around adults is something i fear @batgirl

Philosophy and logic, mostly.

Also religion, and some politics, but chess.com doesn't like that.

Chess.com groups are not bad for that though. I've had some fun in groups like OD in the past.

Hawaiian_King
OD is a very good place for it, maybe you can try online dating and find a woman (or dude, whatever floats your boat) to talk to about those topics and shares the same views

OD got a little annoying because of a few members and they shuffled around the mods and stuff, I wont bring up all that drama... but online dating, I hadn't considered that.

In any case you seem like a nice person.

Hawaiian_King
it worked for people i know, and i don’t mean to sound like a jerk but you can essentially filter the kind of person you’d like and find someone who is able to discuss what you like and do what you like, maybe it would be worthwhile
Hawaiian_King
i just always got ignored in OD lol and thanks you seem like a pretty nice person also

mmm, maybe batgranny would be a more suitable nickname for you.

Maybe. I'm not a child. I was born in Dec. 1973.  I think the world wide web was created when I was about 18 or 19.  I got the internet when I was about 22.  it was just starting. Even after it was created, the interfaces were primitive and it took a while before user friendly browsers, and interesting content, were developed.   You might say I got in on the ground floor.  It was impossibly slow too. I took 5 minutes to download a 1 MB file.

TVs were around when I was little, but we just never had one. I lived in the city and remember stopping in stores where they sold TVs and watching the display models.

So you are one month older than me, funny. It is shocking to me that you had no tv as a child. I was sure everyone had one in the US in the late 70s!

Everyone but me, I guess.
