Hi Untie08!

My name is Lauren Goodkind and I'm a chess coach based in California.

I have several tips for you to improve your chess game.

   1) Play with a slow time control, such as game in 30 minutes.  You need the time to think.

  2) Learn basic tactics and strategies. I like the puzzles on chess.com.

 3) Ask questions before each move, such as, "If I move here, is it safe?" or "Can I safely capture a piece?" and more.

  4) I also recommend two beginner books for you:

-Queen For A Day: The Girl's Guide to Chess Mastery

   - 50 Poison Pieces

Both books are available on Amazon.com and are endorsed by chess masters!

I also offer a free ebook for beginners on my website on how to get better: www.ChessByLauren.com

If you are serious about chess, then getting a chess coach is very helpful!

    I hope that this helps!

At your level you should learn to develop your pieces to centre and making equal exchange of pieces. And also take care of your queen.Blunder it less often.
