unrated beginner blocked from joining U1001 team match

I am SA of 2 teams. I set up a team match for players rated under 1001, expressly for my new unrated beginner players.

They have been blocked from joining even though they registered as beginners. Shouldn't they get ratings of 800 or 1000 and be allowed to join this match. 

Please help. Very frustrated as these young beginners are blocked form joining the match I created for them. Thank you, Jim

You prolly need to make the match U1201 cuz most beginning players on chess.com are rated 1200. 

Set up a new match for players rated below 1201.

OK I will try that. thank you. but how can you do a match rated lower, so UNRATED beginners can join, but have only u1000 opponents to play against?

You have to manually remove undesirable rating players. Don’t see other ways. Remember to apologize with flowers🌺💐🌷

You could set up a match with one of the other clubs I am an admin in.

I would gladly keep ratings below 1001.

I don't think you can, unless you and an opposing admin agree to remove players above 1000.

It is possible that you have a restriction on the minimum number of games played. I set mine at minimum of 10 games so I have an idea of new users playing strength.  

on the new challenge make sure that the participants do not need a minimum number of games played to join too , although that option is designed to prevent new players not used to 3 day formats from timing out but as SA you should easily be able to stress why timing out is not good to new teammates ,

Minimum games should be the zero default, Jim. Because your unrated players never played any daily here. Just don’t touch it 🙂
