wayward queen

Playing the openings brainlessly is a common mistake, sometimes even gransmasters do it. Your example is pretty extreme though
Think before you move. Always ask yourself: "If I play my intended move, then what can my opponent play? Can he checkmate? Can he capture? Can he check? What threat does he have?"

I think the 4 digit club is not in the cards for me right now. I’ll remain part of the great unwashed 3 digit membership presumably, so long as I keep losing games like the one described above.

My friend likes to bring the queen second move, it's a mistake against someone that knows what's they're doing.

Hi! My name is Lauren Goodkind and I’m a respected chess coach and chess YouTuber based in California:

Sorry to hear that you fell for the wayward queen attack. Many beginners fall for this.
Here’s some ideas to help you avoid the queen attack.
-If you are serious about chess, I highly recommend you hiring a chess coach to help you.
-Also consider all checks and captures on your side and also your opponent’s side. Always as, “If I move here, where is my opponent going to move?”
I hope that this helps.
I think getting hit with a scholar's mate is kind of a rite of passage for chess players, happens to all beginners at some point lol. It's very annoying in the moment, but that's actually good, because now you'll never fall for it again as long as you don't autopilot your openings

It's not about it being a rite of passage as much as it being extremely annoying when people try it over and over and over and over. After a while, it gets so tiresome that regardless of the result of the game you may feel like blocking the opponent. It becomes an emotionally stale experience...

Mee too.
Then I opened this thread and asked for help.
https://www.chess.com/forum/view/for-beginners/how-to-protect-from-queen-move
They explained to me the name of the attack and all possible ways to defend it. Learn it, it takes a few minutes of practice on chess. I noticed you are in the 0-500 rate (your rate is much higher than mine) and I noticed that in this range a lot of people play this attack. Probably because with less experienced people there is a high rate of success winning in a few moves. People on the thread reported that this is a suicide attack, I think probably the right sentence is:
"It is a suicide attack when you have the right experience on how to defend".
Once you learn how to defend you can have an advantage of material/space/time after this opening. Read the thread you'll find all info you need.

Stop whining! If I beat somebody that easy I don’t offer rematch. I am Mike thanks for the easy win go practice see ya later. Check out YouTube Gotham chess on wayward queen he has a great video on this

Maybe you could stop being a male organ and be nicer to people. People who go for scholar's mate and then don't ever give rematches are poor sports. Don't be that kind of player. Show class...

How is that? If you're playing for a Scholar's mate, you're practically just handing black an advantage (Or at least equality) straight out of the opening

When you play that kind of opening, deep down you just want to see if you can humiliate your opponent. Going for Scholar's mate is insulting, imho. Just as it is insulting to get people to play other nonsensical openings.

If someone plays a bad opening against me I just go "Oh cool thanks" and take my opening advantage
