When are you no longer a beginner?

I recommend Complete Idiots Guide to Chess by GM Wolff. After reading 100 pages, you can expect a 200 increase in your rating. Beginners have little understanding of chess.

When you start beating your uncles and dad, you are clearly Intermediate player
not really.
You're intermediate when you start to gain a grasp of chess, can recognize tactics, and formulate small plans. At this level, you should be able to solve M3-M4.
Read a book for beginners. You had recent games with scholar's mate themes and there have been games where neither you nor your opponent saw the pieces that were hanging (normal for your rating level).

When you don't hang about 2 or 3 pieces in half your games or more I'd say you should've passed beginner level at that point.

Hi! My name is Lauren Goodkind and I’m a chess coach and chess YouTuber based in California:

First of all, please don't give up. Also, if you can teach chess to others, then you are no longer a beginner.
I have tips to help you improve your chess skills so you can win more games.
-I offer a free beginner’s free eBook on my website, www.ChessByLauren.com in case you are interested. The book is about asking questions before each move.
-Learn basic tactics such as the fork, discovered attack, pin, and more. I offer interactive puzzles on my website: https://www.chessbylauren.com/two-choice-puzzles.php
-I recommend two books for you: “50 Poison Pieces” and “Queen For A Day: The Girl’s Guide To Chess Mastery.” Both books are available on Amazon.com. Both books are endorsed by chess masters!
-If you are serious about chess, I highly recommend you hiring a chess coach to help you.
-Also consider all checks and captures on your side and also your opponent’s side. Always as, “If I move here, where is my opponent going to move?”
I hope that this helps.

It takes a long time to become a good player at chess. It's not like you can expect to become an expert in it in a few weeks. I've been playing almost nonstop for 8 months, got to 1600 and some people still consider me beginner. It's all relative. Just focus on improving your chess and the rating will come in due course

I consider me a beginner and you consider me as better than you I think... (bad grammar intended)...

I consider you an advanced intermediate but the experts on here would still tell us to just stick to the opening principles lol. again, it's all relative to who you ask

Ha I jumped from like 1600 to 1700 in a week of course I'm a beginner

In the interest of words themselves more than chess, a beginner is beginning at the beginning, the time just after not, and ending, in my opinion, soon after. So in that sense I am not a beginner as I've been playing for a few years. However, I have a low rating, don't like to think very hard, and just flail around. So, there should be another name for that ("just plain not very good"?), but not beginner. Though you could say that today I'm beginning to get a little worse, so maybe I'm a beginner after all.

I'm looking for someone who is willing to play experimental games with me. Trying to establish a new opening that is legitimate and hopefully go on to be respected...

bro you didnt have to recommend you called him a idiot
uh what if it's just a good book for begginers lol?? i get your point, but well it's for people that are not good at chess, and can't improve. if it makes idiots improve, then it'll make them improve as well
