What nonsense.

The people who have a hurry to win have this thinking..

I think you should only design when you feel like it. I am not saying it to be facetious about it. Even if you want to play only to see how long you can survive, or if you want to see what move you'd make. Especially if you play online, do not feel bad about it. BUT the thing is you would be wasting your own time because you could be playing a new game or doing anything else.

That's a great way to be really annoying.

I never resign unless I am very annoyed

When you're losing. Or when you want to.

You think.

I fight till I my opponent gets a checkmate or the clocks runs out. Most of the time it ends in a defeat but once in a while I actually catch my opponent off guard and checkmate them or stalemate the game. No better feeling than fighting till the end and going out with a victory because your opponent made a small blunder. Most of the time you'll lose but the few times you win will be worth it

I’m so bad that I always blunder mid game when my palms get sweaty, any tips?

Never resign if your opponent can checkmate you in a forced three moves or so. People who resign one or two moves away from checkmate are very disrespectful.

That's the way I've always felt too.  Quitting is not only bad sportsmanship, it's disrespectful. I imagine what would happen if, say, in a tennis match one person resigned half way through just because they thought they wouldn't win. That's something little kids would do.  Or a golf match where one player is down 7 and 8. Probably wont win, but quitting is very disrespectful.

Personally I don't mind if someone resigns on me. It's a feeling of victory anyway. happy.png Just happened twice in a row on daily games.

I think the best time to resign is when your primary game plan is to lose quickly.

And yet I've seen GMs resign purely because they were 'strategically' lost. In fact, it's incredibly rare to see a GM game play out to checkmate. It does happen, but very rarely.

Usually if you think you see a way that you get mated for example and the opponent plays the moves you saw too than you can believe they know what they're doing and resign. Maybe they are focused on the other side of the board and their move shows you the didn't see it you can hope to atleast draw.

I even got praised for playing until the very end. If I want to resign I sometimes ask the opponent if he wants me to quit or if he wants to play the game out because I know some players wants to practice the checkmate. Mostly they prefferd me to keep playing. So I did :-) To play a few minutes longer will not kill me.

It seems to me there are players annoyed by the opponent not resigning, but also there are players dissapointed by to many resignations. So it is very possible that you also encounter many players of your own "not resigning breed" who are thankful that you are a figther till the end :-)

Never, ever, resign either from chess game or from job, push them hard until they call security to carry u out respectfully

I never resign for the sole reason that earlier today someone forced a stalemate when I was soloing a king and they had two queens.
