They're sort of gone. I say sort of because you can still challenge them if you know their names. I use my archive and just click on one from a previous game and challenge/rematch them. Doesn't help you much though does it? You might be able to "custom challenge" one in live although I haven't tried it yet. That's probably your best bet though...
where are the rated bots?

Alas, that article is outdated. Live > Play computer doesn't work any more; it just takes you to the unrated Play computer. Hence my suggestion for workarounds...

I did look at the help files but they don’t seem to work on the iOS app. The computer option just goes to unrated bots.
Thanks for the lists of bots! I was trying to figure this out yesterday. I hope they bring back rated vs bot properly at some point, but until then this is great.

I am looking for a bot that is ranked and has around 200 rating, but I can't find one in that list? Does anyone know if there is one?

I'm not sure if we know. It would be nice to get some information on that; I was going to give my son a premium subscription since he's interested in chess, but without a way of keeping track of rating progress without playing other people, he might not be interested.

Not sure what platform you are on, but here on the desktop browser you can just go to your Archive if you have played one of the bots before to do a challenge or a rematch.
A lot of them extinct from what I see .

What worked for me was:
Play > Live Chess
Custom Challenge
click on Random
type in mixed case username Martin-Bot
I assume this will work with all the other named bots as well. I haven't yet tried it with a Komodo, and I don't know whether that will have to be capitalized or not.
