working through chess games - where to sit/board position

I want to start working through the games in Chernev’s logical chess on a board. This may be a daft question but where should I sit? Side on or Black/White side - apologies if it as a dumb question! Tnx

Any reason you can't get up and look at the position from the other side of the table?  I do it from white's perspective but check things from black's view now and then.  Oh, I find it very useful to have a second smaller set for sidelines and such.  I use a little 12" magnetic folder that's been doweled/ duct taped permanently open from Amazon for maybe $20.  It's plastic but gets more use than my fancy ebony or bud rosewood sets...LOL.

Thanks ... yes I can get up and periodically look from the alternative view. Of course! a small set is a great idea! Thanks

Buy a Lazy Susan and put the board on that, then you can just spin it around to get the other perspective.

All great answers. I normally sit on the white side because that is how the pictures are drawn and I like to quickly check I haven't misplaced a piece when I get to them. My desk is against a wall.
