Chess story prompt

In my leisure times, I often write stories. So, here's a story prompt. Just a slice of my writing that my brain generated today :

There is a table in front of you, on which is placed a chess board, home to all the beautifully decorated chess pieces. On the other side of the table, right in front of you, is an automaton robot. A mass of clockwork calculating engines installed into the automaton's skull, allowing it to perform incredible feats of calculation in moments. This implant turns the automaton into veritable calculating machine, able to process enormous amounts of numerical data with superhuman speed. The automaton's name is "Morpheus".

The current game you are playing is the "Great Lich Lord Game". The object of the game is to move your undead knight, "Glen", across the board to kill the enemy's knight, "Alison". You sit in silence as the clockwork automaton begins to move its pieces. The buzz of the automaton's cogs insuing, you pick up the Radio and tune it to an uncommon channel.

Your team's frequency.
The channel is silent for a while, before there's a crackle.
"Alright men, in case we don't make it, send this message out: 'F**k you, rescue attempt failure. Taking everyone down with me.' Over."
