Picket Fence: the general idea is to create a pawn structure to allow your pieces to get out and keep your opponents from getting in.

Land Locked:  Any piece is "land locked" that hasn't been moved and has no immediate opportunity to go anywhere useful because it is blocked by your own pieces.

whenever my opponent's king is castled, and I sac a piece so that the pawn in front of him recaptures, leaving his king vulnerable on that file, I always say "excuse me sir, your fly is open."
