Countries

Has anyone else out there entertained the idea of trying to play someone from every country represented in chess.com? I decided to do it as not only is it my "male nature to focus on something like, "hey I like to collect all the different little flags," but it potentially could be interesting to expose myself in this limited forum to players from around the world. I guarantee that if chess.com proposed something akin to this it would be popular. Just a thought......I have many.....perhaps i should not let them escape.

I'd do it if I could fill out a "chess passport" of countries visited over the board.

One way of implementing this would to have a set of nation-oriented iconic trophies (bald eagle for the USA?) that you could either award to yourself  - or chess.com could do it.

One problem you may not have considered: chess.com does not validate nationality. One of my opponents changed national allegiance between every move.

That's true, good point. Still, it would be cool to have a "trophy room" of captured battle flags.

I never thought of chess.com but did consider the idea of scoring off countries on a map 1 by 1 after I played a guy in Antarctica.

Lately I always seem to end up playing Mexicans and Canadians, I've yet to be beaten by either country.  Tongue out  Not sure why but this fact makes me smile.  Laughing
