So I'm not entirely sure where this thought came from, but I began wondering to myself if it were possible to get all of White's major and minor pieces on the a-file and all of his pawns on the b-file. The end result would look like the board was rotated 90 degrees. At first I wanted to see if it were possible and it turns out it is! (with the exception of the pawns on b1 and b8). I was able to get it in 50 moves. I want to challenge whoever has the time to come up the same result but in the shortest amount of moves! Good luck!
