Neither can be proven true.

blw-me

got it

chessdex

yes they can

chessdex

Google 2=3 proof and 1=0.9999proof

FancyKnight

They can only be "proven" using fallacies like dividing by zero

Poolala

x = 0.999...

10x = 9.999...

10x - x = 9.999... - 0.999...

9x = 9

x = 1

(Taken from the wikipedia article for 0.999...)

What's the sum of all natural numbers?

Spoiler: the answer is crazier than the question Tongue Out

danny_dan

x3 - x2 = x

y3 - y2 = y

z2 - z = z

What comes next in the sequence?

(I made this problem up myself. Both the questions and the problem itself)

danny_dan

x/0 = infinity

x = anything

This is because anything you divide by a number that is less than one will make the number bigger. The theory is then thought to be that if you divide by zero (the smallest possible positive number) you will get infinity

I think you mean 1 + 1/2 + 1/4 + 1/8 + . . . is 2.

The_Riga_Magican

oh yeah, sorry lol
