Midline Invasion

This past year I have been having a lot of fun playing with a new rule I have been introduced to by a friend. It's called Midline Invasion and it is another way to win the game along with checkmate. The objective is to safely escort your King across the Midline into your opponent's half of the board while trying to avoid being checkmated. It adds a whole new dimension to the game that I found to be quite enjoyable. If you haven't tried it you should give it a shot. It gives your King a purpose and also opens up opportunities to take advantage of weak spots in your opponent's formation and end the game quickly by aggressively attacking it and making it safe for your King invade the midline.
