I just want to know what their response is to the Scotch when white plays 3.d4. But I aint paying to find out! :p
Yes, I am aware of this. It isn't just only one user doing this-it's many. So far I have seen nearly 10. And it's usually somebody who made their account on the same day, and stopped, but more accounts were made to spam. I am suspecting it is one person in Dubai making multiple accounts with different names trying to advertise on a websites. Are their boss trying to earn big money by calling that phone number?
And, surprisingly, chess.com do not delete these posts!
Yeah it's pretty much a carpet-bombing of spam in the forums at the minute. I just hope people aren't wasting money on what will (presumably) be a very expensive phone-call, before any other "services" are even provided to them haha

Yes, unfortunately spammers like the ones mentioned here do pop up from time to time. We delete the posts on sight.
Simple solution, just stop new accounts from starting new threads for a couple of hours.

These spam accounts are bounced off a dozen servers before we see them. That's why its sooo difficult to delete. It started about a month ago, at 3 am EST. Then one day, the girls started work early at midnight. We had fun with them, but the're annoying. Then one day I saw them at 12 noon. One night we spammed them, and we got 84 + threads.

Yikes! Maybe I'll spam them all the ECO codes with chess diagrams for each. Although that sounds like way too much work for me to be bothered with...
At 3 in the mourning your mind wanders. The ad came up and it said call 5847???. So somebody put up a picture of a phone booth in England. In the picture, there was sheep in the background. And we went to town. WOW that sheep on the left looks HOT. Will you look at the wool on that girl. She's waiting for you to call. I'm calling. We laughd for 30 minutes. Please tell me it was a typical red phone-booth? Sounds hilarious! Wish I could've seen it. I would've quipped in with something along the lines of; 'I know that phone-box! AND that sheep! It's at least 2500 rated so stay away etc...'
It was red. I think the thought was if we could keep them on-line, that would help find the IP address, but since it was their thread, it got deleted. Two sheeps that pass in the night. BBbaaHHh!
Boy they're barking up the wrong tree! Unless they're interested in having games of chess. Which I won't pay for... Still, got to admire the tenacity of somebody with a username like [removed] or somesuch, managing to spam post so much that the latest forum topics all have the same spam title. What next?
