The strange part is he saw nxe5 and qh5 + when it didn't work....But, when it did(after f4 in his variation) he didn't recognize it.

Are you sure it does after f4? Because the knight can drop to g6? Not that I've looked at it for long.
You can probably play it as a fork with d4.

Yeah....sadly it took me staring at the position for about 4 or 5 minutes before I saw it. I just knew the move was bad. I used to see that type of thing in a split second :(. Oh to be young(and not have real life to worry about) lol
