A Bird to a King

Sort:
Hammerschlag

This is a game I played not too long ago on this site (chess.com). I opened the game with Bird’s Opening (A02) and my opponent played move I have not encountered before although I know about it since I have studied Bird’s Opening. The game transposed to the King’s Gambit opening, which I have never played before…I am also somewhat familiar with the King’s Gambit even though I have never played it as I use to play King’s Pawn Openings (e4).

The game ended in a win for me although I believe my opponent did not play the best moves; the computer analysis on this site says I had one mistake and one blunder. Even though I don’t take the computer analysis too seriously, I know that, at times, the computer can see things I do not. I have included some of my thoughts in the game. I would be very happy if anyone has any comments as to the game play, any improvement or missed opportunities, etc... Thanks!
