Interesting. Checkmate in the middle of the board.
This would have been a win for White in king of the hill.

The ultimate mistake by the opponent is 18. cxd4 allowing checkmate. The e5 Black pawn is in fact a better defender of the White king (than a White pawn would!) against the impending checkmate.

I think that move is forced lol. I essentially guessed that was checkmate but I figured even if it wasn't, it probably was very bad for him.
Why should you be angry if he plays a bad opening?
Because he beat me in the prior game and it was a ridiculously long game with a lot of lucky tactics. I took it as a bit insulting, that after winning one game he would assume he could just attack with his queen and get another W.

White is winning after 18. Kxe4. Ironically the White king is really safe there.
I was legitimately angry when this guy played the wayward queen opening for our rematch, like wow how dumb must he think I am lol so I played some aggressive chess and ended up with a nice checkmate. I have the black pieces.
Analysis appreciated
