I stared at all that heavy artillery all around the hemmed-in King and forgot to look at the unanswerable check by the little Bishop.
Rxd8+ Kxd8 Rc8# is also scraping a win by the skin of your teeth, Rook sac for a bishop!
I will look to this game for inspiration next time I have a K+Q+R+R+B+N vs K+B endgame.

Indeed. It's the first move you would play if you only had 2 seconds left on your clock, only to find the computer has told you you've won by checkmate.
It´s not a combination, rather a position in a game against an obvious weaker opponent, in which you miss dozens of mate chances during 20 moves before.

I am proud that I was able to make a checkmate pattern like this in a lightning game that has a 1 minute time allocation. Can you do the same?
ofcourse there was shorter mates but I liked that one beter.
