Nice win. Very good recognizing the strength of that passed pawn and the weakness of his bishop and pawn.
Your opponent was very aggressive with his pawns. Often in games like this if you survive the attack, you will mop up in the ending.

19...Bd4+ was a great move and your queens attack was great.
All in all a good all round game and if you can try to eliminate those early blunders then you should do quite well.
Thanks for the kind words xMenace and Grayhound...

3...Nxe4 is best
Pardon my ignorance here, but why is 3...Nxe4 best? doesn't that leave me down a knight?
Thanks
The hope of Nxe4 would be fxe4 Qh4+ but after Kf1 and Qxe4, all I see is youve got 2 pawns for your N and their king is in a worse position but after a move like Qe2 or something, they are pretty well secured. I doubt that Nxe4 is the best move. Just my thought on chesshole's thought.
Ok... heres a game I played and lost (against the same player). Might show flaws better than a won game.
I played white. I have a few ideas on where I went wrong, but any comments welcome... especially about the aggressive pawn opening...? I haven't read anything about this opening or how to take advantage of it/defend it.
For your fourth move you should have went d4-c5 because, it would crumble the middle of his pawn structure and would force him into moving his pawn [or not] so you can take his queen either way, you should be set off well. Also try not to form lines with your pawns out in front, support your pawns from various sides. This is because he can take you c5-d4 and break the middle of your line forcing you use one of your bishops [or queen whichever you like] early than you probably should.
I have only been on chess.com for a few weeks and haven't played any chess for years before that. I have tried to read as much as I can here and learn different openings/strategy/tactics/endgames etc.
This game is my 5th game played online, and by far the one I have put the most thought into my moves on. I did win the game but wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions/improvements/criticism of the game? It would really help me develop my game.
I have tried to annotate as much as possible to hopefully show you what I was thinking throughout the game. I played black.
