Analysis of loss when trying to salvage a draw

This was a game where I made mistake early on. However, I thought I should have been able to work out a draw from the position that I had. Any thoughts on how I could have salvaged a draw or where my positioning could have improved my chances when I was a knight down would be appreciated.

I never saw you having any significant chances. One plus of double rooks in a material down endgame is they can create mating and perpetual check threats, but only the a-file is open and contesting that means trading rooks. White's knight (knights love locked positions with holes) can hop to h5,f5,b5,d5 (the latter two could be shut down via ...c6), and White's king can penetrate on the a-file or f-file. Yes, even if you replaced White's knight with a light-squared bishop you really don't have any significant chances of drawing.

No way was that a drawn game, not even close.  Once you lose the knight you can battle on for a while, but then you ought to resign if the time controls are not short.
