BH7 sacrifice in a blitz : winning or not ?
I would prefer 7.e5 when I can follow up with f4 and Nf3 to support my centre. If I can hold on to my space advantage, Black will be in a rather uncomfortable cramp.
White can resign after 13...Kg8. Of course he won't since this is bullet game, but he has nothing for the piece.
7.e5 Ne4 is nothing special for white.
Of course Black should have played 8...Ne4 in the game as well.
I played Kg6, because I saw that Kg8 and Bf5 is pretty boring, even if winning. I am not happy with 21...Qb6 because it allows Nc3-a4, I would prefer 21...Qc7 and if 22.Ne4 then 22...Bxa3+ 23.Kb1 Qc6. I think Bxh7+ is objectively losing and after Kg6 the game was very active and interesting.
Actually 20.Qf5+ was the move I was expecting and saying that it wins the rook is probably incorrect. After 20.Qf5+ Kc6 21.Qxh7 Qe7+ 22.Kf1 Nf6 23.Qxg7 Bf5 (idea Bf5-d3+). The moves are not forced, but black's idea is to checkmate the white king. I think Qxd5+ was correct because white should probably keep attacking and not waste time on winning material.
