Probably trying to figure out why you played 21. Bd5?? is worthwhile. A very constipated game up to that point.
Bird's Opening

When you play 1.f4, and if they play 1...e5, don't accept the gambit! You can get into hot water really fast because of your semi-exposed king and his better development. Here is the antidote: 1.f4 e5 2.e4! and you've transposed into the King's Gambit.

He didn't play 1.e5, but 1.d5 instead

Don't take on c6 on move 11. What is the point of Be5 on move 12? Yes, Bd5 is not so good. After 23: ... Qxb7 black has a decisive advantage. Black should probably take the perpetual after Kf1. Overall, cool game, I'm impressed that you made all the thematic Bird moves (Bb2, Nf3, fight for e5 square, etc) you just made a bit of mis-steps in the execution.
Could anyone suggest better moves than what I did?
