blitz game

Very impressive my friend. I could not have played that well on the best day of my life. Thanks for posting.

Thanks Patzer,
There was some good play and some mistakes. An entertaining game I though. I was lucky to win though; I think a draw would have been a fair result.

Oh I can't agree with you. You most definitely deserved the win. How you could keep your wits about you during such a fast time control and still come up with the moves is a mystery to me. Congrats again!
5. Bb5+ Nc6 It had to be Nc6 or Bd7. Perhaps exchanging my 'bad' bishop would have been better.
This jumped out at me as wrong so I verified with the fish. Nbd7 is indeed best, yet you didn't even consider it. Something to ponder.

Thanks - yes, I had noticed that after the analysis. Nbd7 looks wrong to me. I am sure it isn't if the engine says so. But I worry about how my bishop will develop. Also worried about Ne5 from white. I don't suppose you have any thoughts because this definitely looks like a learning opportunity for me.
Well, a6 is coming. White will either need to spend another move retreating the bishop or trade it for the knight. 5. bb5 nbd7 6. ne5 a6 7. bxn nxb 8. nxn bxn 9. 0-0 and black's light square bishop looks awful, but it wont stay that way the whole game, as black can eventually play e5 and enjoy more space and the 2 bishop advantage.
I don't play blitz much. I prefer Daily Chess. But during the Coronavirus lockdown today I had time for a game. It was 3/2 (3 minutes on the clock and 2 secs added per move). This means that most moves were made with 4-5 seconds thought or less. So please bear that in mind when you see the errors that were made. Any comments welcome.
