I have played several  brilliant moves that the best engines could not find. [could not find at all]

Also have played moves that the engines could not find except at a deeper depth.

It takes more than the best move in a position to be a brilliant move-==-it takes much more than that.

Engines can’t find brilliant moves. That is why they are called brilliant.

Aun--I have found several which the engine could not find.

Almost all the "brilliant moves"  mentioned in this forum --were not brilliant moves.

Because they were played and thus now the engine knows about them.

Engines can find brilliant moves. They just didn't calculate deep enough

Oh, right. At a certain depth computers can find those moves.

Actually the statement "Engines can find brilliant moves. They just didn't calculate enough."

Is sometimes false. I have found brilliant moves that the best chess engines could not find no matter how long they calculate.

It also depends on what chess engine you are using for analysis. For example, Crystal NNUE (a fork of Stockfish specifically made to find fortresses and find difficult moves) Can easily find moves that Stockfish can't, but it's slower since it has less pruning

Hardware also plays a role when it comes to chess engines

i made a brilliant move and in that brillant move i found mate in 9 a freaking rook sacrifice and if you want to cheack out that game go in my profile  and search the game of kashflow vs me

An obvious move is not really a  brilliant move. However an obvious move might be the best move.

How do you know it was not obvious to the engine?

Hi, Im sorry if this isnt the right forum but i cant find where I make a new discussion.

I was wondering if anyone knew what the chess notation looked like when you Castle and also put the other person in check/checkmate. Would it still be the usual "O-O-O" or do you add on the "O-O-O++".

Thanks.

I think they are moves that the engine could not find but when analysed it turned out to be better than the engine's best move
