I don't know. Some of the "brilliant moves" are kinda stupid.

Hmm

I found a brilliant move when I was in my online class , not paying attention either side🙂 still got one , idea was to draw a winning position against a bot (1800)

From my experience, moves qualify as "brilliant" if literally every other move is a blunder.

Qd6 is the brilliant move

Run the report to see it.

Can anyone explain or know why I see in a "Brilliant" move in one of my games immediately after playing it in the Game Analysis Report, but then examine the game later and the move is now evaluated as the "Best Move"?

Not only the brilliant move his very hard to find, the postion is probably the Hardest to find for me

Brilliant move is move chess engine can't find but after you play it chess engine thinks that your'e idea is better and then says the move is brilliant

BreakfastOfChampions
I was wondering this too having made what I thought was a fairly obvious best move and it being classed ‘brilliant’ (I’m flattered but this seemed excessive). Thanks for the explanations.
classicchessboy

my engine is stronger than all of urs because it just says best moves when ur engine says brilliant which is actually best

ricorat

This was my brilliant move yesterday 🤣

TheFuchsen

The "best move" definition by the same engine explicitly says "The chess engine's top choice". If the move was exactly what the engine proposed in the first place, it wouldn't be a Brilliant move. That's the reason why after a while the engine corrects every brilliant move into a best, since, it now picks that move instead.  A brilliant move is literally a move that wasn't even considered in the first place but turned out to be even better than the best. (And after a while, it will be considered just best)

(The engine is continously being trained by our plays)
