It is harder to checkmate someone in bullet than it is in rapid, though, because you have less time to think. My guess is FMLarry was just trying to avoid a stalemate.

I can't stalemate by continuously moving ur queen battery down the board while checking
better if guard bove ur queens and move ur king around the corner till you have time
