I have a question in this position. The plan here is to play on the wing and expand your territory. The book where I read this suggested g3, and then f4. Playing f4 immediately would allow exd4, Rxf4, and then there is a hole on e5 for the black knight. My question is, why can't white expand on the queenside with b4 and aren't the pawns pointing more to the queenside than the kingside?
