Ithink by playing 2-Be2 White ignored the center who is very important in the beginning. And after 2-...d5, 3-Bb5 c6, 4-Be2 Nf6 there's no equality here, the advantage is for Black who is dominating the center. Look at White, in the forth move he returned to what was his second, we can say White is in the second move and black is in the forth. In four moves White moved his Lightening scares Bishop three times. Playing the same piece several times in the beginning is an error.

amazing..up to move 19 which is the end of the game all his pieces didnt exceed the second rank....i wonder how did he survived all that long...lol
