checkmate or not?

Hey guys,

I found this problem when I was playing as white against a friend of mine. I was wondering if this is checkmate or not, since the black knight technically cant move because it has to protect the king...

So is this checkmate or is the king allowed to move to the knight-occupied spot?

it is still checkmate technically, because it is still that the knight is occupying

e5 and c5 Wink

and even if it has to protect the king, the king would still run itself to check
