I think you played the opening fine, Rb1 is more common than Rc1 but I think it was ok. I don't think d5 was that bad, his bishop does become strong but it is an empty bishop because it doesn't really have any targets to attack. I think Bxe6 was good and you definately should have played on in the end. Rb6 might have been slightly better than Re7 although in both cases Rc2+ was an idea picking up your a pawn for his e pawn giving him an outside passed pawn. In the final position you could have played Kf3 followed by g4 and f5 making a passed pawn but another interesting idea is to play a4 and a5 followed by Bb6 and Ra7! making it impossible for him to defend the pawn and if he plays a5 then Bd2 and the pawn should fall.

Hi guys, just back from the Irish Junior Championship, and W2 L1 and D2. Happy enough, in my first game I made a bad blunder causing me to queentrap myself, and I had to give up a knight to save the queen, and then managed to hold out a while, but ended up resigning. The second was an easy win, the third was a tough draw, my fourth was a win and my fifth, was a draw. I'll be posting my third and fifth games for analysis. Please comment on what I did wrong, or could of done better.( I lost the first game record sheet, but I will upload the game when I find it.) Thanks all!
