Chess.com Forum analysis vs Fritz

I had reached this position in a game I had online on this site. I played as white and I played Bc2, which in the end was a HUGE mistake on my part  and this position in particular bothered me.

When I analyzed the game myself afterwards, the best move I came up with was Bc4, I figured it had the best potential for decent afterplay. Essentially no matter what I came up with, it ended up even minor pieces having a rook and a knight each. But I feel my pawn structure had better end game potential. So then trying to exchange pieces would lead me to having a much better position.

Fritz on the otherhand came up with the exchange Rxe1, Nxe1, Kxe1 Leaving white with a Knight and Bishop against a Rook. So material-wise, white has the advantage.

I just want to see what other (maybe more experienced) players would play in this position.

I would definitely go with Rxe1; those two knights, if well protected, would be a pain to defend against. After Rxe1, Nxe1, Kxe1, you should be able to win Black's f-pawn and usher your kingside passers to promotion. Rxe1, Re8+, Kxd3, Rxe1 should be the same.

The only thing you would ahve to watch out for is black getting his rook to your second rank.
