Chess.com free computer analysis - not good enough

I'd like an instant, cheap analysis at the end of EVERY game to suggest which trophy I should award (or, more usually, expect as the loser).

is 10 for gold better at anylysing?

erik, why don't you get Fruit 2.3.1 (http://www.superchessengine.com/fruit.htm)? It's free and is a far better analysis engine than Crafty (ELO 2800+ vs 2600+).

Regarding analysis depth, I think even 12 moves is quite poor: I haven't got a super pc, but it gets to 15 moves depth (which is quite reasonable) in less than a minute computation.

Anyway, thanks for the great job on chess.com!

Fruit doesn't have the same handy analysis tools as Crafty, but we are looking into TogaII. Also, yes, it is easy to get to 15ply in under a minute, but try doing that for an entire game of 120 ply :) The average game is 20 minutes at 12 ply - it would be maybe 2 hours at 15 ply.

Yes erik is doing good.
